Era, what do you think about Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly?
Jan 6, 2022 · When I was 10, this game taught me to look for the Insomniac Games logo rather than Spyro in the title (And looks like I'm not the only one in this thread!). Luckily for Christmas 2002 I received both Enter the Dragonfly and Ratchet & Clank 1. Thanks dad! I did finally beat it 2 years ago though (probably didn't reach 30% completion as a kid).

Are any of the non-Insomniac Spyro games worth playing?
Dec 2, 2019 · The first three GBA games do the best job capturing the feel of the Insomniac titles, so if you want more of the same PS1 Spyro but with a 2D isometric view than you’ll probably like them. A Hero’s Tail is decent.

Dec 31, 2024 · So back in 2000, the final Spyro game from Insomniac got released, Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Appropriately enough it came out in the Year of the Dragon as well in the Chinese Zodiac. Back when I got a PlayStation, I had a demo disc and two of the trailers were for Crash Bandicoot Warped, and Spyro the Dragon.

Apr 7, 2018 · Spyro controls ice, lightning, and earth as well as fire. You gather experience and can unlock new moves for each element type or make them stronger. The story was decent enough, far more in depth than any Spyro game I had played as a kid.

I didn't play Spyro back when it was new, but having played Crash 1-3 when I was a kid and again via the remake trilogy, and now the Spyro trilogy, I like the Spyro games better as well. Though if we're talking individual games in those original trilogies, I think I still might like Crash 2 the best.

Jul 13, 2023 · Spyro 1 has never held my attention long enough to finish it, whether it's PS1 or remake. It's a fine enough game but I enjoy the Crash series far more. Spyro levels just feel big and empty for the sake of it and I don't really enjoy controlling Spyro that much. Crash's focus on linear obstacle courses makes for denser and more enjoyable gameplay.

Dec 24, 2024 · To be honest, this is the same thing they did with Crash Trilogy and Spyro Trilogy. They were like 3 months apart. And we still don't have Crash 4. Or the Tony Hawk games which were added to the Microsoft Store with a Win11 port many months ago.
