Ford Motor Co. has recalled more than 240,000 SUVs for a seat belt issue.

Some of the seat belts may not have been anchored or bolted in properly. Ford was notified about the potential problem by Canadian authorities after a problem was discovered in a 2020 Ford Explorer there.

Ford is recalling about 240,000 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs due to a problem with seat belt anchors that were improperly secured. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,

Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs are being recalled because their seat belts may not have been installed correctly.
