Harvey Weinstein begged to go on trial earlier than planned, saying he isn't sure he will survive long enough in the "hell hole" of New York's Rikers Island jail complex.

Harvey Weinstein is currently serving time at Rikers after being convicted of sexual assault in a case in Los Angeles. Since, many of his other cases have been dismissed or not tried yet, Weinstein has been threatening to perish in jail before his April trial.

The disgraced movie mogul asked for his trial to be accelerated, calling Rikers Island a “hellhole.” He faces three sex-crime charges.
