TUSCALOOSA, Ala.— Going up against the No. 1 team doesn't leave a lot of room for error, and from the first rotation to the last, Alabama's night was riddled with mistakes.

On Friday the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide gymnastics team hosted the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners. The meet ended with Alabama losing 197.55-196.3.  “We had some uncharacteristic mistakes,” head coach Ashley Johnston said of the team’s floor performance.

This Friday night, the No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners come to Coleman Coliseum as a member of the SEC in gymnastics for the first time for a matchup with No. 10 Alabama. Oklahoma has won six national championships over the last decade,
