Hyman and his family have officially purchased the OHL's Brantford Bulldogs from Ottawa Senators owner Michael Andlauer.

The OHL announced Monday they approved the transfer of ownership of Brantford to a group led by Hyman and his family, including his brother Spencer and father Stuart, from Michael Andlauer, whose purchase of the Ottawa Senators was approved by the NHL Board of Governors on Sept. 21, 2023.

Zach Hyman never played major junior hockey, opting to go the junior A route, then four years of college at U of Michigan, but he’s an OHL owner now after he and his family bought the Brantford Bulldogs off Ottawa Senators’ owner Michael Andlauer.

Zach Hyman will be the President and Governor of the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs, while his father will be CEO and brother Spencer the COO. Zach Hyman spoke about buying the major junior team and the family’s commitment to the city.

Oilers left winger Zach Hyman released a statement after the OHL Board of Governors approved a transfer of ownership of the Brantford Bulldogs to him and his family.
