Feb. 27, “The Pat McAfee Show” reported that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce plans to return for the 2025 NFL season. And while McAfee showcased his excitement over the tight end’s return, it’s hard to imagine anyone is more thrilled over Kelce’s decision than Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Kelce was among the first Chiefs players to exit the Caesars Superdome, notably missing his post-game press conference. While retirement would still secure Kelce's status as a future Hall of Famer and one of the franchise's all-time greats, Mahomes is certain that individual honours are not his teammate's main concern.
