Malibu and Los Angeles County Beaches are under an updated high surf advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 7:29 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Saturday at 3 a.m.
Although the beaches remain open, health advisories prohibit or urge residents to avoid swimming, surfing or playing in the ocean water because of debris runoff from fire zones.
