LeBron James joined Michael Jordan as the only players over 40 to have scored 40-plus points in a single NBA game on Thursday, as the Los Angeles Lakers held off a fightback from the Golden State Warriors to win 120-112.

Since returning 40 years old on Dec. 30, James has averaged a stellar 26.2 points. That said, scoring his age has so far eluded him. When Michael Jordan turned 40 while playing for the Washington Wizards on Feb. 17, 2003, he scored 43 just days later against the New Jersey Nets.

Since LeBron James is still playing at an All-NBA level at 40 years of age, he is bound to keep setting records and join elite company. The hoops legend added another milestone in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-112 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
