Wes Johnson, the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals, Ice Hockey Team, is receiving an outpouring of support from fans after being hospitalized due to a medical emergency.

Longtime Washington Capitals public address announcer Wes Johnson has been hospitalized, the team confirmed Monday afternoon. Johnson, 63, was in Atlanta to host a charity event last Wednesday, according to a GoFundMe campaign created by a friend of Johnson’s.
