It's only been a day since Auburn was pushed into the No. 1 spot in all of the polls, and it didn't have much of a problem playing like it. The home atmosphere helped with the energy throughout, but the team was just that strong.

Auburn men’s basketball came into Tuesday night’s clash against Mississippi State with a target on its back and missing its best player, Johni Broome. That didn’t end the run of dominance, though, as the Tigers cruised to an 88-66 win over the Bulldogs, improving to 16-1 overall and 4-0 in Southeastern Conference play.

BYU is back in the win column. The Cougars snapped their three-game losing skid by defeating Oklahoma State 85-69 Tuesday night at the Marriott Center, moving to 11-5 on the season and 2-3 against Big 12 foes.
