Michigan State and Michigan may be both unranked in the AP poll entering their annual rivalry matchup for the first time since 1998. But if our Big Ten power rankings are any indication, the Spartans and Wolverines should be playing a close game on Saturday night in Ann Arbor.

The Big Ten has surprising parity, at least below the upper tier. This season has shown that almost any team in the conference can beat anybody, with a series of surprising wins on Saturday.

The Illini visit Oregon this week before playing host to the Gophers on Nov. 2. The Wolverines have several challenges still to come.
