The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development continued work to reopen interstates across south Louisiana Thursday, days after a historic snow storm along the Gulf Coast.

The Interstate 10 closure spans nearly the entire state, ending west of the Mississippi state line east of New Orleans.

DOTD says that I-10 is closed in both directions from the Louisiana-Texas state line to Baton Rouge. Officials are encouraging you to avoid traveling on roadways unless absolutely necessary.
