Warner Bros. Discovery announced its intention Wednesday to build a “Harry Potter Studio Tour” in Shanghai. The company is partnering with Jinjiang International, which made the news official on its WeChat account.

The fantasy franchise tour will be in addition to Beijing’s large-scale Harry Potter-themed attraction at a Universal Studios resort.

The attraction, which also has locations in London and Tokyo, is planned for 2027 and will take take visitors behind the scenes, displaying sets, costumes and props from the movies.

A Harry Potter studio tour will open in Shanghai in 2027, which will be the third such attraction globally and the first in China, its developers announced on Wednesday.

The fantasy franchise is wildly popular in China, whose capital Beijing already has a large-scale Harry Potter-themed attraction at a Universal Studios resort.
