It’s even more fun to drive than the original. Volkswagen first unveiled the concept for the ID Buzz, the all-electric version of the classic hippie Microbus, in early 2017. Seven years later, it will finally be available this November in the U.

I joined the fanfare in San Francisco for the national press drive of the 2025 VW ID. Buzz and was delighted by the melting pot of vibrant colors and configurations as we took over iconic Lombard Street,
