A magnitude 4.1 earthquake struck off the Northern California coast after midnight on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Several smaller quakes followed.

ELK GROVE – A train stopped for an extended period of time is impacting traffic in Elk Grove Tuesday morning. The train stopped on the tracks near Sheldon Road and has stayed there since around 7 a.m.
