Young Sheldon already feels like a distant memory, but viewing figures suggest Georgie & Mandy might have more to it than first thought.

Of course, this fun is extended to the reality of the fact that Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is filmed in front of a live studio audience. Trading in Young Sheldon ’s single-camera format, the new show is multi-camera with some connective elements that help to make the show feel like a seamless continuation.

As fans will recall, George Sr. died in the final episodes of Young Sheldon from an unexpected heart attack. Now, as Georgie faces the challenge of being a young father and husband, that element of grief will be included. One way it will be featured is through Missy’s ( Raegan Revord) return as she gets into trouble at school.

For those who missed it, the premiere opened up with Georgie laughing at an episode of Frasier, commenting that he likes "laughin' shows," or shows in which the audience laughs after a joke because it lets him know when to laugh.

Although Georgie & Mandys First Marriage was always guaranteed to struggle with Sheldon, the character's absence isn't the real issue with its pilot.
