U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson granted President-elect Trump's request to suspend a 30-day mourning period for former President Jimmy Carter in order to fly flags at full staff during the inauguration.

There are still two weeks to go in the mourning period for former president Jimmy Carter, when American flags are directed to be flown at half-staff.

President Biden ordered a 30-day flag-lowering following the death of former President Jimmy Carter on Dec. 29, as per U.S. flag code.

A few minutes before Sunday’s wild-card matchup between Philadelphia and Green Bay kicked off, the former Cowboys coach brought up the idea of Dallas and Pittsburgh swapping head coaches in the offseason. Johnson admitted he had no “inside information” before throwing up his hypothetical.
