Long-range models indicate the chance of another arctic blast early next week, which could bring the coldest air so far this season.

The Houston area is seeing an increasing chance that a mix of wintry precipitation—including snow—is headed in its direction. Space City Weather meteorologist Eric Berger said there is a growing possibility (about a 50-50 chance) of snow or sleet beginning next Monday night and Tuesday.

Scattered mainly light rain showers Wednesday with the best chance south of I-10 near the coast. Thursday will be partly sunny and mainly dry with a 10% rain chance.
