State Rep. Nathan Small and Sen. Jeff Steinborn, both of Las Cruces, have introduced a bill to designate 783 acres of land in the Sierra de Las Uvas as Slot Canyon Riverlands State Park.

Nathan Small, a Las Cruces Democrat who serves as vice chair, are among the committee members who are scheduled to speak. Committee staff will also be available to answer questions.
