Allison, who was not given credit for a win at Bowman Gray, now takes sole possession of fourth on NASCAR's all-time wins list

NASCAR awarded Hall of Famer Bobby Allison with his 85th Cup Series victory Wednesday, correcting the record on a disputed 1971 race.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison finally got his victory from Bowman Gray Stadium, more than five decades after he took the checkered flag and the trophy.

The NASCAR Cup Series will return to Bowman Gray in February 2025 for the first time since the 1971 race won by Bobby Allison.
