NASCAR awarded Hall of Famer Bobby Allison with his 85th Cup Series victory Wednesday, correcting the record on a disputed 1971 race.

The NASCAR Cup Series will return to Bowman Gray in February 2025 for the first time since the 1971 race won by Bobby Allison.

Bobby Allison now has 85 NASCAR wins Bobby Allison has been declared the winner of NASCAR Cup Series Myers Brothers Memorial at Bowman Gray Stadium which took place on August 6, 1971. The race at Bowman Gray saw a mix of Grand National (Cup Series) cars and smaller Grand American cars.
