NFL Honors and 2025 Hall of Fame Class The annual event on the Thursday before the Super Bowl took place in New Orleans. NFL Honors saw all sorts of great players, celebrities and entertainers in attendance.

The ceremony features the announcement of The Associated Press’ annual awards, the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and the Pro Football Hall of Fame class. The red carpet is open. New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton and Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston were among the first players to style and profile on the carpet.

The ever-colorful 82-year-old owner of the Dallas Cowboys was one of the few marquee names who lingered for any length of time at the far corner of the NFL Honors red carpet where I was posted. The only reason he did was to chat with three members of the Cowboys’ in-house media team standing next to me.
