Connecticut authorities say two police officers were wounded and a suspect was killed in a shootout at a New Haven apartment complex.

The Office of the Inspector General is investigating the police shooting in New Haven last week that killed a man who authorities said shot two West Haven police officers and the preliminary report was released on Monday.

Aaron Freeman was identified as the man who fired on police in New Haven, injuring two West Haven officers, and was killed in the shootout Jan. 29.
