Canelo Alvarez has spoken for the first time about the proposed Jake Paul fight. A whirlwind few days began when Canelo’s planned fight with Terence Crawford was abruptly reported as being off, with that then leading to the Mexican superstar being linked to a shock clash against Youtuber-turned-boxer Paul.

Paul's Most Valuable Promotions company released a statement acknowledging that El Gallo is still in talks with "multiple high-profile opponents" for his next match. In the meantime, he and brother Logan Paul's new reality series Paul American premieres March 27 on Max.
