Missing plane in Alaska located; 10 found dead, officials say
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A small plane carrying 10 people over Alaska went missing on Thursday afternoon, and rescue crews searched into the night for any sign of the aircraft. Authorities said the commuter plane crashed in western Alaska on its way to the hub community of Nome and was located Friday on sea ice. All 10 people on board died.

Three people were found inside the aircraft and "reported to be deceased," the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska said on X. The remaining seven people were also believed to be inside but were "currently inaccessible due to the condition of the plane," according to the agency.
