Point guard Tre Donaldson wouldn't call his game-winning final sequence a season-saver, but he did call it a morale "booster" for the team.

ANN ARBOR — Over the final 1:42 of Monday night’s game against Penn State, Michigan’s Tre Donaldson delivered a pretty assist, made two huge shots, including the game-winning basket, and converted a couple of free throws to seal the victory.

Tre Donaldson scored seven of his career-high 21 points during a game-closing 9-0 run and Michigan edged Penn State 76-72 on Monday night. Michigan grabbed three offensive rebounds on one possession midway through the second half before Rubin Jones sank a 3-pointer to extend its lead to 55-47.
