The publishers of the Wall Street Journal and New York Post attacked the AI developer for stealing articles to train its 'answer machine' chatbot.

Rupert Murdoch’s Dow Jones, the parent company of the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post sued Perplexity on Monday, accusing the generative AI company of illegally scraping its reporting and diverting traffic to its own platforms.

In a copyright suit, News Corp titles say the AI firm is stealing content and revenue. News Corp is asking the court to block its use of the material.
