State Farm will reverse its cancellation of home and commercial protection policies in 22 Los Angeles counties amid the catastrophe caused by the wildfires.

State Farm, the largest homeowners insurance company in California, jolted residents last year by announcing it would not renew 30,000 policies. That included about 8,100 homeowners in communities ravaged by the current wildfires, state officials said.

State Farm, California’s largest insurer, announced that it will offer renewals to residential policyholders affected by the deadly wildfires across Los Angeles County. The company previously had plans to drop those policies.
