The airline announced yet another nonstop route from Texas to Florida, along with another route within California.

Travelers will soon be able to catch a nonstop Southwest Airlines flight from the Jacksonville International Airport to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Southwest Airlines plans to offer direct flights from Jacksonville to Austin, Texas, in October, joining Delta Air Lines, which will also fly direct to the Texas capital. The new batch of Jacksonville-Austin flights are scheduled to begin on Oct.

Fliers taking short routes on Southwest Airlines might notice a lack of refreshments on their trip to another Texas city or elsewhere.  Full drink service won't be available on "express service flights" that are about 40 minutes or less,
