For the first time, the 2025 PIAA Team Wrestling Championships shift from Hershey’s Giant Center to Altoona Area High School, where the final eight teams standing in the Class 2A and 3A divisions will battle for PIAA gold.

Brayden Hartranft scored a 6-1 decision at 133 pounds to seal Berks Catholic’s 32-31 win over Saucon Valley in the first round of the PIAA Class 2A team wrestling tournament on Tuesday night at Freedom High School in Bethlehem.

Now the fun begins for Faith Christian. The two-time defending PIAA Class 2A team wrestling tournament champion cruised into the state semifinals with a 65-4 victory Friday night over District 7 champion Burrell at Altoona Field House.

The second wave of action at Friday’s PIAA Team Wrestling Championships features the quarterfinal round in Class 3A.
