An outside fire has been reported on Bat Cave Road in Old Fort after a tree fell on a power line, local authorities said.

The McDowell County Emergency Management is calling for residents to evacuate due to an “out of control” wildfire in Old Fort on Wednesday. Officials said wildfire is located in the area of Bat Cave Road and was caused by a tree falling on a power line.
