BSE Sensex and Nifty50, the Indian equity benchmark indices, ended in red today. While BSE Sensex went below the 77,600 mark, Nifty50 was below 23,500 intraday.

The Indian stock market on Friday closed in the red as investors continue to assess the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s Monetary Policy Committee decision to cut the repo rate by 25 basis points (bps).

The trends on Gift Nifty indicate a mildly positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 23,715 level, a premium of nearly 25 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.
