A recall of hundreds of frozen waffle products and other toaster foods sold in many U.S. grocery stores has expanded because they may be contaminated with dangerous listeria bacteria, the manufacturer said Tuesday.

Dozens of frozen waffle products made by TreeHouse Foods, including waffles sold by Kodiak Cakes and Publix, Food Lion, Walmart and Target store labels, have been voluntarily recalled due to potential listeria contamination,

Food recalls are plaguing the news this week, and ready-to-eat products are the culprits. Just a few days ago, grocery stores had to pull packages of Caesar salads and tacos off their refrigerated shelves. Now, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that people should toss out another convenient pre-cooked staple, too.
