Law enforcement across the US are cracking down on a troubling spread of child sexual abuse imagery created through artificial intelligence technology.

Two reports from the same county have concluded that signs children were being sexually abused were missed. One of the cases in Northamptonshire eventually resulted in a conviction for rape. The report found risks posed to children in a known offender's extended family were not considered.

Renee Hoberman, a licensed social worker on Long Island, used messaging platforms to share graphic videos of infants being abused, prosecutors said.

A child therapist on Long Island was arrested on “heinous and disturbing” child pornography charges after she distributed videos that contained victims as young as just 6 months old, federal prosecutors said.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 36-year-old Renee Hoberman, of Plainview, used social media messaging apps to share photos and videos of alleged child abuse.
