TBH I couldn't say if most taxi drivers will know where this is. They will know where the nearby viewpoint is on the main road but the start point down to Nui Beach is 2 km from the view point (Karon viewpoint) and down a dirt track. Most people ride their motorbikes to the parking area at the head of the trail down to the beach and then either walk the 500 meters or use the transport provided by the beach restaurant.
