Probably Eureka, but we found Eureka was very filthy. Lots of homeless people and druggies roaming around. We stayed farther north in Crescent City, which was nice, and just took a day trip. We found Ferndale on accident, but glad we did, it's a cute town. I would recommend finding a place in Ferndale to stay, or just take a day trip there.
