Hi having just travelled from Australia to Coney Island Ireland . In May 2019. The big ruin house, called the Flood House was my mother’s childhood home. My mother passed away in Malawi in 1992 and we never meet our grandmother. The pub man on the island has since died. Can anyone tell us more about our family house.

The 1911 census of ireland has Floods living on Coney Island …you can check those out online. I can also recommend a brilliant local history book ‘Rosses Point and its Surrounds’ (by Brian Curran), which gives background history on Coney Island and the house.
